Mumbai Indians storm hit over Delhi DareDevils

Mumbai Indians storm hit over Delhi DareDevils

Mumbai Indians secure a 98-run win over the Delhi Daredevils in their 2nd match of IPL-3 clash.

After half-centuries by Sachin Tendulkar and Saurabh Tiwary scored 63 and 61 respectively as Mumbai Indians marked 218/7 by end of their innings, the highest total so far in this year's IPL.

Tendulkar and Jayasuriya gave the visitors a good start with an opening stand of 38 runs after being put in to bat first. Aditya Tare joined Tendulkar but did not last long and unfazed by the falling wickets, the Mumbai skipper continued to score at a quick pace and completed his half-century in 23 balls.

Delhi never really got going in response as Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh and Sanath Jayasuriya claimed two wickets apiece to help restrict them to just 120.

Post match presentation -

Tendulkar: So far so good, the batting from Tiwary and Rayudu has been special. Everyone has chipped in and it's working out well for us. My body is coping up well and I am pacing myself well but I do need rest at some point of time. We have a terrific blend of seniors and world class younger players and I am enjoying leading this side.
